Safe Routes Champion Training set for Aug. 29


Do you like to walk or bike? Do you want to help make these activities safer in your neighborhood? Become a Safe Routes Champion! A Safe Routes Champion Training is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, in Room AB on the second floor of the Community Health Facility, 200 Maine St., Lawrence. 

Learn how to empower your school and neighborhood to work together to set and achieve goals to keep students, neighbors and families safe when walking or biking! The event is sponsored by the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department, Lawrence Pedestrian Coalition and the Safe Routes to School National Partnership.
