Vince joined the Health Department in January 2012 and his work revolves around compiling, analyzing and evaluating internal and external public health data. Vince earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in therapeutic recreation from Pittsburg State University and worked for several years at the Menninger Clinic in Topeka, where he facilitated various assessments and therapy groups with children and adults.

He then received a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas in 2003, and after graduate studies, he has mainly worked in the health care and human services fields.

Prior to joining the Health Department, Vince worked as a senior research data analyst at KU and data analyst for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program with the State of Colorado.

Vince was born and raised in Lawrence and after several years of living out of state, his family is excited to be back in the Lawrence community. Vince is married to Samantha Romero and they have 3 children Sadie, Eli and Joseph.
